intelligent remotely controlled station system components consist
of the following robotic systems and functionalities:
The Coremicro Robot is a tracked robot with forward track struts
and idler wheels for better stair climbing and rough terrain navigation.
The robot is driven by four geared motors which in turn are controlled
through the motor controller as a pair of differential motor drives.
Robot Control Processor
The Coremicro Robot platform with a suite of sensors, gimbaled
cameras, laser range finder, lidar scanner, and turret provides
the base for the lightweight remotely controlled station. The
Coremicro Robot Control Processor provides the intelligent closed-loop
control of the station which includes the gimbaled camera, robot
waypoint driving, and the turret control.
Sensor Fusion Processor
The Coremicro Sensor Fusion Processor (CSFP) provides the device
drivers and data processing/fusion capabilities to the system.
CSFP gathers and organizes the sensor data and robot status into
the shared memory and are accessible by any onboard processors
or the remote operator control unit.
The Coremicro Image processor provides the video web server capabilities
as well as image processing such as motion detection, alert and
camera control functionalities.
4D GIS – Operator Control Unit
The Coremicro 4D GIS serves as the operator control unit and provides
the graphical user interface for remote command and control of
the station. The control software is executed on standard pc laptop.
Range Finder Gimbaled System
The camera/laser range finder gimbaled system provides the targeting
and surveillance capability to the remote station. Integrated
with the onboard AGNC AINGPS module, the operator can geo-locate
any given object seen through the camera field of view and transmit
the object location as well as the image to the command station.
Real-time closed-loop object tracking is also provided for tracking
an object on the move.
The turret system is an integrated control system with simple
intuitive graphical user interface. The control is provided by
the onboard robot control processor for aiming and objects tracking.
